About This Project

The UTRCA has been working collaboratively with the City of London through the Dingman Creek Environmental Assessment (EA) process. Engagement with interest-holders and affected landowners has been on-going since 2019. Project information and past presentations can be found on the City of London's Dingman Creek Environmental Assessment project page.

With this map update, the UTRCA will finalize the regulatory flooding hazard limit (1:250-year flood) for the existing floodplain in the Dingman Creek subwatershed within the City of London. Increasing development pressure in the subwatershed requires the use of updated information to support safe and sustainable development decisions under the Conservation Authorities Act and Ontario Regulation 41/24. As the EA process moves forward and mitigation options are considered, further refinements to the flooding hazard limit may occur.

Prior to receiving board approval, the draft map will be posted for a 30-day notification period (May 22 - June 22, 2026) as outlined in Ontario Regulation 41/24. The draft map will be presented to the UTRCA Board of Directors at their regular meeting on June 23, 2026. The UTRCA Regulated Areas map will then be updated with the approved flooding hazard limit for Dingman Creek within the City of London for use in the administration of the Conservation Authorities Act and O. Reg. 41/24.

We invite the public to view the draft Dingman Creek flood hazard map below.
